"Who is among you that fears the Lord, . . . let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God." (Isaiah 50:10) Here are six words that form the foundation of God's therapeutic process for all of us worrywarts: Worry about nothing. Pray about everything. Seems simple enough. So, what is a worry? Anything that drains our tank of joy -- something we cannot change, something we are not responsible for, something we are unable to control, something (or someone) that frightens and torments us, anything that keeps us awake at night. All of those things need to be switched from our worry list to our prayer list. We must give each worry -- one by one -- to God. We need to tell Him we will no longer keep the anxiety to ourselves. The more we practice giving our mental burdens to the Lord, the more exciting it gets to see how God will handle all the things that are impossible for us to do anything about!
